Cake Commissions: If you are interested about wanting me to do a cake for you, then email me. I have no problem at all going over ideas with you and providing a quote. I am located in the Greater Seattle Area and am not currently taking orders for cakes that require shipping. Delivery or pick-up available depending on time and location.
Rough Pricing is about $1.75 per person. Simple designs are a little less, complex (labor-intensive) ones are more. This is pretty much materials-only with just a small increase for the time/energy… so I can buy more equipment.
I’ll take cake requests on a per-case basis. I need a week’s notice to do a cake, since the baking starts several days in advance. I am cutting back on home many cake commissions I take to avoid potential cancellations.
Flavors: Can be anything. I have access to a very wide range of flavor oils, both organic or standard, as well as real fruits, liquors, high-quality chocolates, etc. Fillings can have fruit, cream, pudding or icing. Covering can be cream or icing (with marizpan/almond paste or fondant), or chocolate ganache.
If you are considering a major commission, I can do a tasting ’sample’ tray for you.
Disclaimer: I am not a professional at this time. I want to avoid cancellations at all costs, and have refined the amount of commissions I take on in order to make sure I can dedicate my time and effort into them successfully. Understand that I make the success of the commissions a priority, but this is not my day job and I do not have assistants to take on work should an emergency come up. I will always give you as much advance notice as possible and will help refer you to other options. Payment is due on completion and delivery/pick-up of cake.
